Here’s where I stand on the waiting list for season tickets over the last 3 years.

2007: 4689
2008: 4591
2009: 4426

In 2008 I moved up 98 and 165 spots in 2009. Thank you to the terrible team in 2008 for contributing to the additional 67 spots. So, if I move up on average 120 spots, I could get season tickets in only 37 years. Great.

Yeah, I couldn’t believe it either.  Stu “Mother Fucker” Voigt came into our suite during Sunday’s Vikings v Ravens game.  Stu Voigt!  What?  You’ve heard of Stu Voight?  Well, you must be at least 30 years old and grew up in Minnesota.  But if you are like me, then you have no idea who this guy is.  When a white guy and black guy entered our suite, and we were informed that one used to be a tight end for the Vikings, well my racist mind just assumed that it was the black guy.  My bad.   We learned that he was from Madison and played football for UW, what a rooster’s ass.  But he was a nice guy.  Actually I have no idea if he’s nice.  He signed some stuff for us and took some pictures, even though we had no idea who he was.  Thanks Stu!

Season 6 of Entourage has come and gone.  If you don’t have HBO, refuse to pirate TV shows, or live in your parents basement then you probably missed it.  This might have been their best season, in my opinion.  I would need to watch all the seasons again to give a final answer on that.  The ending that leaves us hanging wasn’t there like it was in other season finales, but I didn’t need that with this season.  Let’s look back at my pre-season predictions to see if any of my guesses were right.  A FEW SPOILER ALERTS!!

  • After a terrible run, I see this season bringing great success for Vince.   Yes yes yes, The Great Gatsby was a success and Vince went on to play Enzo Ferrari in a movie of the famous race car makers life.
  • I don’t see the relationship between Turtle and Jamie Lynn continuing.  Wow, I got this one too.  Jamie flies off to New Zealand for a television shoot and ends things with Turtle.  He should recover just fine though.
  • This one’s a stretch, but I see Johnny finding the right girl, settling down, and either getting married or getting engaged this season. Wrong, but close.  Someone else got engaged in the finale.
  • I see the Andrew Klein business buyout being a success and eventually leading to getting rid of Babs. The buyout was a success, a little bumpy, but a success.  Babs is still around, but Ari purchases another agency, Terrance McQuwick’s.
  • You know, I’m also going to guess that after seeing Johnny’s new relationship, baby bro Vince will also find the possible Mrs. Chase and come close to marriage. Wrong again.  Completely wrong.  Vince nailed a lot of different women throughout the season.

After Sunday’s finale, a special clip of Matt Damon played after the credits rolled.  Hilarious.  Check it out.

Over the weekend, I participated in seeing the #1 movie at the box office, Zombieland.  This is a must see comedy.  A number of complaints that I read about the movie is that the main character is a Michael Cera knock off, but I was glad that it wasn’t Michael Cera.   Cera would have been for too annoying in this role.    Anyway, I really don’t feel like getting into too many details about the movie, and I really don’t have the time or patience to do so.  If you want a good funny movie, then go see it.

I’m pumped.  For the last 13 months my mobile phone has been the Samsung Inshit, possibly the worst iPhone-killer phone in history.  Let me list the problems that I’ve experieced:

  • Typing lag
  • Extremely slow music loading
  • Inability to lock the screen (causes user to touch buttons with their face while on the phone)
  • Sprint TV channels started around 20+, now down to 4 or 5.  But it really doesn’t matter since the video suffers from major pixelation and freezing
  • Native browser sucks, basically unusable
  • Calculator is unusable, only does 2 digits
  • Calendar is retarded

But on October 11th, the HTC Hero is being released.  I’m glad to be a Sprint Premiere member, which allows me to get the same deals as out-of-contract people after only 1 year.  The HTC Hero will be $180, and if I spend $200 at Best Buy, American Express will credit my account.  How great is that!  I went to the Best Buy Mobile store at the MoA to get my name on the pre-order list.  The cute girl that I first talked to most have been new because she had no idea what I was talking about.  The other guy was extremely helpful and gave me good news: the phones come in on the 9th and we’ll probably give you a call then so we can sell them as soon as possible.  Now that’s a smart salesman.  Hopefully that’s the way it happens.  I want my new phone so I can either A) throw my Inshit against a brick wall or B) mail it to Dan Hesse (ceo of Sprint) along with a note about selling me the shittiest phone ever.  Yes, I know.  If I really want to let Sprint know how I feel I should not renew my business with them.  But here are my arguments.

  • AT&T sucks, I’m not switching to a mobile provider that just started allowing MMS on their top selling phone.  What a fucking joke.
  • My monthly Sprint bill is only $62 for unlimited text, web, and mobile calls.
  • Sprint Premiere might become a really good rewards program.
  • I can’t see Apple keeping their exclusivity with AT&T passed 2010.

This week at work is going to suck, but I’ll be giddy as a schoolgirl waiting for my new phone.
