You get 2 videos today.  The first is for those people like me that enjoyed a few seasons of the Real World.  I think the first season that I really watched was Season 8 in Hawaii (Tek $, Ruthie, Amaya?).  I watched most seasons after that but boredom started setting in around the Denver season.  Why am I talking about the Real World on Throwback Thursday?  Because your first throwback song comes from David from the Real World New Orleans.  David was a big black male who sang the hit song “Come on be my baby tonight”.  Enjoy.

Your real Throwback Thursday video comes from the Minneapolis based R&B group Next.  Next is best known for their chart topper Too Close which discusses the male erection while a female grinds on his junk, a very important topic.  That’s not the video you’re getting though.  The video below is for the remix to Butta Love.  Butta Love peaked at #16 on the pop charts in the US, so you may or may not be familiar with it.  What I’m not familiar with is what Butta Love is.  I’ll check Urban Dictionary…..No help.  The best I can find is that Butta is “another word used for baby, boo, or wifey / hubby”.  I think I’m going to start calling some Butta. Favorite lyric from this song occurs early, actually scratch that, the opening 16 bars are amazing.
